Youth Services

Billingshurst Parish Council plays an important role in supporting young people within the local community by helping to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive youth services.

Working alongside schools, community groups, sports clubs, and voluntary organisations, the Council encourages activities that promote personal development, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

Community spaces such as The Depot are used for youth clubs, workshops, and activities that give young people opportunities to learn new skills and build confidence.

In July 2022, a youth boxing programme was introduced, currently held at The Weald School, the sessions aim to encourage young people to participate in sport, improve their self-confidence, and provide positive activities that help reduce boredom and social isolation. These sessions are fully funded by Billingshurst Parish Council.

The Parish Council has recently engaged the services of 4TheYouth to provide term-time weekly youth workers to the new Billingshurst Youth Club at The Depot on the High Street.
