There are currently 13 Parish Councillors (and two vacancies) who are elected every four years. The next elections are in May 2027. Vacancies are always advertised on the NEWSFEED page of this website.
The Full Council meets alternate months and has six principle Committees/Working Parties:
Finance & General Purposes - meets monthly (last Wednesday) except in August
Billingshurst Centre - meets monthly (prior to F&GP) except in August
Planning & Environment - meets monthly (first Tuesday), with Extraordinary Meetings being held when required.
Property - meets bi-monthly
Working Practices - meets quarterly
Neighbourhood Plan Working Party - meets when required
The Council’s Chairman and Vice Chairman, together with membership of Committees are elected in May of each year at the Council’s Annual Meeting.
