The WI provides an opportunity to make friends, listen to good speakers, learn new skills and participate in a wide range of activities. Throughout the year outings are organised to places of interest, members enjoy lunches and afternoon teas around West Sussex and take part in community activities.

Billingshurst WI meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 2.30pm - 4.30pm in the Stanley Room, Billingshurst Community & Conference Centre, (except August when there is no meeting). Visitors are actively encouraged to join the ladies and will receive a warm welcome.

Members also take part in activities organised by the West Sussex Federation of WIs and receive regular contact from the National Federation of WIs via WI Life the member’s magazine.

Following the inability to have WI Meetings over the course of Covid lockdowns, the Billingshurst WI is now beginning to work towards their programme for 2023. The speaker due to attend the meeting on 10th November is Frances Hurd who will talk about how women's lives differ from ours when living in an Islamic culture.

The ladies will be having a tombola stall at the Christmas Fayre at the Billingshurst Centre on Saturday 3rd December and their Christmas meeting on the 8th December will be a social occasion, with entertainment planned for those attending. Visitors are always welcome to attend their meetings.

A 'Calendar Girls' theatre trip is planned for February 22nd 2023 and there are some spare tickets available priced at £20, if you are interested, please make contact with the secretary, details below. Transport is also available.

On the 12th January 2023, the first meeting of the New Year, Tracey, the owner of Little Bean Cafe in the High Street, will be giving a talk on how the popular business in Billingshurst started.

The daytime meetings of the Billingshurst WI are always held on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 2.30pm - 4.30pm in the Stanley Room, Billingshurst Community & Conference Centre.

All enquiries can be directed to the Secretary on 780810 or by email: billingshurstwi@wsfwi.co.uk If you have a problem with transport, please also ring the Secretary.
