Temporary Road Closure

Station Road Level Crossing

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the use of

 

Station Road, Billingshurst Level Crossing is temporarily prohibited from 23:00 Saturday 26 May 2012 to 08:00 Sunday 27 May 2012

 

This closure is necessary to allow Civil Engineering works to Railway installations.

 

It is anticipated the works will be completed in 1 night.

                                                                            

Pedestrian/Residential/ Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

 

The alternate route for vehicles below 12’9” in height will be from the northern point of closure Station Road, Alicks Hill, Natts Lane and Lower Station Road to southern point of closure and visa versa.

 

The alternate route for vehicles exceeding 12’9” in height will be from the northern point of closure Station Road, Alicks Hill, Stane Street, Adversane Lane, Marringdean Road and Lower Sation Road to southern point of closure and visa versa.

 

This notice will be effective for a maximum of 5 days from the date given above.

BILLINGSHURST: PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 780 (Part)

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the provisions of Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the use of:

BILLINGSHURST: PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 780

running from Lee Place House towards Woodlands Farm

The path closure is necessary to protect public safety due to unsafe ground conditions.

Use is temporarily prohibited with effect from 30th March 2012.

Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the public rights of way network.

This Notice will be effective for 21 days from the date given above A further closure notice will be required.

 Adversane Lane, Level Crossing is temporarily prohibited from 23:00 Thursday 12th April 2012 to 06:00 Friday 13th April 2012

 This closure is necessary to allow Civil Engineering works to Railway installations.

 It is anticipated the works will be completed in 1 night.

 Residential/Pedestrian/Emergency access will be maintained via diversion route.

 The alternative route for HGV’s (where appropriate) is Adversane Lane, Stane Street, Station Road, Marringdean Road and visa versa

The alternative route for all other traffic will be via Stane Street, Natts Lane, Marringdean Road, Adversane Lane and visa versa.

 This notice will be effective for a maximum of 5 days from the date given above.

I give notice that Billingshurst Parish Council intends to appropriate (transfer) land at Manor Fields Coombe Hill Billingshurst RH14 9BU from open space to allotments.  A copy of the plan showing the land in question can be inspected at the Parish Council offices at the address given below between Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 1.00pm and on the Council’s website.
