The Billingshurst Centre, formerly Billingshurst Village Hall, is located in Roman Way, Billingshurst RH14 9QW
The Main Hall
The Main Hall is our largest room, measuring 16m x 10m. It has a granwood floor with badminton court marked out with white lines. There is a Stage at the top end of the hall, measuring 5.5m x 10m. It is equipped with stage lights and a sound system. Situated at the back of the stage are two changing rooms, with wash basins and illuminated vanity mirrors. There are also male and female toilet and shower facilities.
The Hall is equipped with enough trestle tables (both large and small) for up to 200
people, as well as chairs for up to 250 people.
The Stanley Room
The Stanley Room is a fairly large meeting room (8.5m x 6m), but is also widely used for recreational activities. It has a carpeted floor, with access to the stage and a serving hatch through to the Kitchen. There is also rear car park access via a double-door fire exit. The room is equipped with large and small trestle tables. It can accommodate up to 35 people seated theatre style.
The Kitchen is well equipped, with two large fridges, a commercial dishwasher, a
microwave, large urn and two stainless steel sinks. It has plenty of work top space and
cutlery and crockery for up to 200 people. There is a large serving hatch opening out onto the foyer, and a smaller hatch opening into the Stanley Room.
Committee Room 1
This is no longer available for hire due to permanent rental by Healthwatch.
Committee Room 2
This is one of our newer rooms, and is slightly larger than Committee Room 1, being able to accommodate up to 16 people. There are square and trapezium shaped tables in this room, allowing us to arrange a professional boardroom style layout. It also has internet access and a ‘SMART’ board for use with a laptop.
Council Chambers 1 & 2
These two rooms are our largest meeting rooms (42ft x 30ft together), which can be used together to form one large room which can accommodate up to 80 people in a theatre style, 30 people in a boardroom style. However, by pulling across a sound-proof
removable wall, the council chambers can be divided in two, thus achieving rooms which will accommodate around 30 people in a theatre style and 17 people in a boardroom style layout. These rooms also use square and trapezium shaped tables, and each have internet access.
We have a range of equipment for hire at the Village Hall, including Flip charts,
Overhead projectors, Projecting screens and Data Projectors installed in each room.
We also have Hearing Loops installed in each room except the Main Hall. Other
equipment may be available – please ask at Reception well in advance of your booking
so we can make appropriate arrangements.
